This work is about the little monster in my head, one that is probably present in many people my age. At certain moments, it starts to play tricks on my mind. One eye is confident and knows what it wants in life. It does the things it enjoys and truly lives life. The other eye, however, is far less certain about its choices and feels a constant pressure to do things it should be doing, even when it doesn’t really want to.

Together, these eyes form a monster that is both confident and insecure at the same time: a voice that tells me what I should do, while actually not knowing either, creating inner chaos.

To me, this work reflects a period of uncertainty in my life, in which I am torn between doing things I enjoy and doing things that are considered ‘useful’ or ‘productive’.
